Von Papstdorf auf den Papststein – hike
This short circuit is the quickest way up one of the loveliest little table mountains in the area. From Papstdorf you climb via the Rapsdörfel, where a wide view towards the Schrammsteine opens up even along the way. Shortly before the summit you pass a game enclosure, then steps take you up onto the plateau of the Papststein with its old mountain inn and the panoramic view over the table mountains. The descent leads past the Hunskirchenblick, where traces of a large rockfall from 1972 can be seen. Almost half of the route is on footpaths, the rest on unsurfaced tracks and short stretches of tarmac.
