Vom Tiefen Grund zur Brandaussicht – hike
You follow the blue markings down into the Tiefer Grund and walk along its stream. After that, around 850 Brandstufen (steps) take you up to the top. Up there you will find the Brandaussicht viewpoint with views into the Polenz gorge and over the surrounding table mountains, as well as the Brand-Baude with its restaurant and national park information point. You return through the Schulzengrund to the starting point. The name Brand recalls a forest fire in the 18th century.
