Rabenauer Grund und Erlebnisweg Sagenhafter Mühlberg – hike
From Freital-Coßmannsdorf station, the path leads into the Rabenauer Grund, a narrow rocky gorge through which the Rote Weißeritz and the narrow-gauge railway run. As far as the Rabenauer Mühle the route is wide and suitable for pushchairs. This is where the Erlebnisweg Sagenhafter Mühlberg begins. It climbs steeply uphill and offers nature-based rest and exercise stations; it ends at the Deutsches Stuhlbaumuseum in Rabenau. You can return via the Rabenauer Höhe and the Eckersdorfer Weg. The valley path is firm and shady, whereas the Erlebnisweg is narrow and steep.
Tip: The Weißeritztalbahn only runs a few times a day, so you should plan a journey according to the timetable.
