Pastýřská stěna a zoo Děčín (Schäferwand und Zoo Děčín) – hike
The circuit begins above the town at the viewing building on the Pastýřská stěna, which stands directly above the Elbe valley. You follow the red markers to the rock tower Pastýřská jehlička and on into the district of Žlíbek. The loop is completed via the viewpoint Červený vrch at 314 metres and the Špičák at 315 metres. The way back involves about two hundred metres of ascent and leads down a steeper section of switchbacks and over old, heavily worn stone steps. The Zoo Děčín lies right next to the Pastýřská stěna and combines well with the hike.
