Naučná stezka Zapomenuté pohraničí (Lehrpfad Vergessenes Grenzland) – hike
The educational trail links the plateau of the Děčínský Sněžník via Ostrov, Rájec and Tisá with Petrovice and ends in Krásný Les. Nineteen information boards tell the story of this border strip, the vanished villages and the changes after 1945. The route is easy to split into stages, for example Ostrov to Tisá or Tisá to Petrovice. You walk mostly on field and forest tracks and short stretches of asphalt across open plateaus. Near Petrovice you'll find the Mordová rokle, a gorge right on the border.
Tip: Please bring your ID card. Cash in crowns is useful. The approaches to the Mordová rokle are partly unmarked, so please observe the border regulations. Plan your return journey in advance, as this is a one-way hike.
