Labským kaňonem k Belvederu (Durch den Elbcanyon zum Belveder) – hike
From the edge of Děčín, you first climb the Stoličná hora, also known as Kvádrberk, and stand there at the Císařský výhled and the Sněžnická vyhlídka at about 275 metres. Past the Labská stráž pavilion, the red-marked trail continues along the edge of the Elbe canyon, passing the Spálenisko viewpoint and the Růžová vyhlídka. An old carriage road finally brings you to the Belveder, whose rock terrace lies about 160 metres above the Elbe. The descent follows the green markings to Dolní Žleb, where a ferry crosses the river. The surface is mostly forest track, and in the last section also a stony path.
Tip: Please bring your ID card. Cash in crowns for the ferry and a stop for refreshments. The ferry in Dolní Žleb runs seasonally and depending on the weather, so please check the times beforehand. Walking time estimates vary between four and six hours; please allow six.
