Gottleubataler Panoramaweg – hike
The Panoramaweg circles the entire Gottleubatal along the heights on both sides of the stream and is one of the longest circuits in the area. From Berggießhübel you first climb onto the slopes above the spa town and gradually reach the viewpoints at the Jagdstein, the Kalkofen and the Raabsteine. The route then continues via Tannenbusch and Augustusberg to the Bismarckturm, before the path leads back down into the valley. Almost half of the route follows forest and meadow tracks, and another third narrow footpaths. If you don't want to set aside a whole day, you can split the circuit at many points and walk it over two days, or pick out just one section.
Tip: If you are doing it as a full-day tour, start early and take water with you. A detailed hiking map is available at the Touristinformation Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel; the tour makes sense from spring to autumn.
