Forellensteig an der Gottleuba – hike
The Forellensteig follows the Gottleuba through a narrow, shady valley and is one of the most relaxed trails in the area. The path runs between Ladenberg and Schlepphübel, mostly right beside the water, and uses sections of an old railway embankment including a former railway bridge. Along the way you will find moss-covered boulders, small waterfalls and potholes that the stream has drilled into the rock over a long time. Two road crossings interrupt the circuit; otherwise woodland path, gravel and short stretches of asphalt alternate. With a good 50 metres of ascent, the route is also suitable for younger children.
Tip: There are two road crossings, so please take care there if you are walking with children. The guided tour of the visitor mine requires advance booking and is also a good alternative in the rain.
