Drei Steine: Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, Papststein und Gohrisch – hike
This circuit links the three table mountains around Gohrisch into a varied day tour. First you go through the Suppelsgrund to the Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, where you will find the Lichterhöhle and the mouth of an old soapstone tunnel. Next comes the climb to the Papststein with its mountain inn and the wide view over the table mountains. The third summit is the Gohrisch itself; you can take the Falkenschlucht with its ladders and iron steps either up or down, otherwise there is the easier west descent. Balzweg and Jagdweg lead back to Gohrisch through peaceful forest. Sources give differing figures for the lengths, so allow for the longer version.
Tip: The Falkenschlucht gorge is narrow and dark and not for anyone afraid of heights; if you prefer, you can bypass it via the western descent. Take a torch for the cave. With children: between the Papststein and the Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, the deer enclosure with fallow deer is worth a stop.
