Doubice – Kyjovské údolí – Zadní Doubice – hike
This long circuit leads through the quiet eastern part of the national park, far away from the crowds along the Elbe. From Doubice you first head towards Kyjovské údolí, where the path follows the Křinice valley between sandstone walls. Along the way you will pass the Vinný sklep, where ice formations form in winter, and the Orlí věž memorial. You cross the Křinice over the Touristenbrücke and reach the abandoned settlement of Zadní Doubice right on the border. The way back runs along forest tracks and gravel paths to Doubice. The surface alternates between asphalt and gravel, with a forest trail in places.
Tip: Please take food and water for the whole day with you, as there are no supplies along the way. The Kyjovské údolí lies outside the 2022 fire area and was reopened as early as August 2022; throughout the national park there is a risk of falling trees. The route runs close to the border, so please bring your ID card. Bring cash in crowns for a stop for refreshments in Doubice.
