Chřibské vodopády (Kreibitzer Wasserfälle) ab Chřibská – hike
The waterfalls lie about 1.5 kilometres east of the centre of Chřibská, close to the national park boundary. From the market square, follow the yellow trail marking along a forest track through the valley of the former shooting range; around 700 metres of it have been upgraded since the refurbishment with wooden walkways, steps, railings, a pavilion and benches. The falls consist of two sandstone steps, each about one and a half to two metres high, over which the water drops freely and vertically along part of the way without touching the rock. Wooden steps lead up to a path junction, and you then continue along the slope of the Plešivec to Chřibská railway station, and on along the well-preserved forest track Dlouhá míle to Jedlová station. The tour is most impressive in spring and after the snowmelt; in winter the steps form ice sculptures.
