Belveder u Labské Stráně (Belveder über dem Elbtal) – hike
This short option is the right choice if you are short on time or travelling with small children. From Labská Stráň, follow the red markers, or the paved access road, to the Hotel Belveder. Just beyond it, a rocky terrace opens up with a view into the deepest sandstone canyon in Europe, around 160 metres above the Elbe. You can see Dolní Žleb, the table mountains opposite and the rock formations of the Elbe valley. If you like, you can extend the walk from here by following the green markers towards Hřensko, or descend to the Elbe ferry to Dolní Žleb.
Tip: Please bring your ID card. Having some cash in crowns is useful. Access to the viewpoint is free all year round. Parking at the hotel is limited, so at weekends please arrive early.
